Difference Between Minky and Cotton
Cotton
Cotton (flannel) is a woven fabric that is soft and fluffy. It is made from 100% natural cotton. Some women with sensitive skin may prefer to use the 'cotton' as it is much cooler on the skin. However, it requires more care, especially during the wash because you have to use the net before putting clothes in the washing machine for a longer life span, this is because the cloth cotton flannel 'perishable. 'Cotton' is easier to leave stubborn stains and it needs to be soaked overnight with a little detergent (do not let the pad rinsed / washed for a long period of time more than happy to leave stubborn stains). But the advantages are when soaked pads will be completely clean in its entirety (in between the layers) because it gives you more time to dilute the blood and out on his own. Surface pad 'cotton' may feel a little sluggish when full, so if you want to feel more comfortable and dry in the coming months, 'cotton' may not be ideal for you. 'Cotton' dry a bit slow, especially on a rainy day, so you have no more storage pad.
Minky
Minky made of 100% polyester. Polyester is made artificially and it is widely used in a variety of fabrics including minky. Minky has a natural texture like animal fur, very soft and fluffy. Therefore, it is more comfortable than the 'cotton flannel. Hand washing, it is easier to maintain, for extra care, you can use the net clothing or otherwise. Minky not leave stubborn stains, so the blood would easily removable during rinsing. According to our experience, some customers think that the pad is clean when there is no blood on the pad, so they do not wash it thoroughly. However, there is still blood between the layers of the 'organic bamboo', to ensure a clean pad. To ensure a clean pad as a whole, it should be squeezed repeatedly during rinsing until the water is clear out. Minky surface feels dry so you need to know / somewhat when you need to change a new pad because you may not feel wet even when it is full. If you are looking for a comfortable to wear pads during menstrual blood, you have to try minky. Minky also dries faster than 'cotton flannel. "Basically, the more advantage there is in' minky 'versus' Cotton' but more expensive minky. However, it depends on one's budget and preferences. Some people may prefer the 'Cotton' from 'minky or otherwise.
